Behind a mask... THE PLACE: Behind a mask... THE REASON: Do you know who you are talking to most times? Do you actually know the person that you are in the company of? Most of us see what we want to see or need to see... Then - almost all of us portray what we want others to see... Some of us face each other with a smile - but that is a disguise for irreverence... Often we put on a mask of acceptance - when really we are wincing in the company of an individual... THE DAY: Monday 14th May... THE WEATHER: Actually it is nice and cool - yet we feel humidity and heated - but act cool and comfortable... THE BUDGET: You will pay for your well-disguised facade - maybe not to the individual you are blatantly messing with... but very very expensively to those around you - watching your one dimensional presentation but judging your very well rounded three dimensional and illuminating two-faced brilliance... then wondering when you will include them... THE LAYOUT: Seemingly well designed - but with cheap and nasty finishes... THE INTENTION: Making something secret... is creating a reason to carry a specific section of knowledge and personally judging that you - and you alone must bear that information. It is a burden - more so than a responsibility. THE EXPERIENCE: Negative power goes against all principles - it is a backstroke that many should receive medals for - and believe me they are proud to stand on the podium of destruction - just as long as it's recognised! THE HIGHLIGHTS: Realising when someone is wearing a mask and finding that it looks good on them. THE LOWLIGHTS: Not having the ability to judge someone - at face value. THE NAMES: Behind every mask is a real person with a name... if you give something a name - it lives. Remember the last time you called someone a name... strange how it becomes them! P.S. I once saw a Mandela mask - it wasn't really him! |
