In a really inspiring and motivating move the Home Loans division at ABSA hosted a golf day in an effort to raise funds for their pet project. Stephanus Burger, General Manager of ABSA Home Loans, speaks with passion about the Khanya John Dunn House in Wentworth. It is his motivation, along with The Association For The Aged, to raise the funds for repairs that are desperately needed to the home, which is where many of the residents will spend their last days. Having selected the John Dunn Home as their community project for 2007, ABSA Home Loans have taken on a mammoth task. Their rather ambitious target of R500 000.00 needed to make a safe an secure environment for the residents seems almost impossible until you meet Stephanus' staff. Along with Stephanus, the staff at ABSA Home Loans have adopted the attitude of 'Anything is possible if you're passionate about it and if you want it to work.' The selfless dedication and contribution to the project by their team will bring a lump to your throat. If you have any ideas or information of how you can help them renovate this amazing facility for the aged and soon to be ancestors of our community, contact Nadia Ebrahim on 031 366 9596 or email her on This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and no matter how small your contribution, it will go towards making us all a more caring society, while giving our elders a little comfort and security in their twilight years. As for the golf, the winners were certainly ABSA Home Loans for getting it together and making a difference.
